A Christian County Grand Jury returned three indictments Friday, including for persistent felony offender and trafficking in methamphetamine.
Indicted for first-degree persistent felony offender is murder suspect Jamal Mounts. According to the indictment, Mounts was indicted on charges of murder, attempted murder, first-degree burglary and other charges in 2014 in relation to the death of his mother, Roxie Mounts, and assault of 69-year old Marvelyn Spray on Elm Street in March 2014. Mounts has been convicted previously on charges of assault under extreme emotional duress in 2009 and possession of cocaine in 2005.
Mounts is currently lodged in the Christian County Jail awaiting trial in the murder case.
Also indicted for persistent felony offender is Alan Michael Young, who was recently indicted on charges of first-degree fleeing or evading police. He has been previously convicted of felony receiving stolen property and manufacturing methamphetamine in 2012, manufacturing meth, unlawful transaction with a minor and possession of a controlled substance in 2005.
33-year old Montrail Forte of Hopkinsville was indicted on charges of trafficking in meth, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. While being served with a warrant in February, officers allegedly found around a half pound of meth, pills and marijuana in the residence he was staying in.
