A fire in the attic caused damage to a home on Maple Court Thursday morning.
Hopkinsville Fire Chief Freddie Montgomery was the first on scene at the home near the Maplewood Street intersection at about 7:45 a.m. and Captain Michael Pendleton says he was able to quickly determine everyone had safely escaped the single-story residence.
No one was injured and the American Red Cross was called to assist the three displaced residents of the home.
