Warrant: Man intimidated witnesses in investigation into threats against school

An arrest warrant was served Tuesday morning against a man accused of trying to intimidate juveniles to prevent them from assisting with an investigating into alleged threats against Hopkinsville High School that were made before spring break.

Charged with five counts of complicity to intimidating a participant in the legal process and five counts of complicity to tampering with evidence is 27-year old Jacob Laws of Oak Grove.

The warrant alleges that on March 26th, Laws and another man went to the home of several juveniles, intimidated and threatened them, and demanded they destroy evidence on their phones from a group chat and that they not cooperate with the investigation.

As previously reported, a Hopkinsville High School student was arrested in Oak Grove on March 26th after telling students to not return after spring break because he was going to shoot the school up. He reportedly sent photos of himself with a rifle to students.

When officers arrested him, a search of his home revealed the rifle, ammunition and body armor that he had easy access to.

Laws and the other man went to the homes of the witnesses after the juvenile suspect was detained, according to the warrant.
