The Hopkinsville Sportsplex has a new name and a fresh logo after Planters Bank and Jennie Stuart Health have claimed the sponsorship naming rights on the facility.
Now called the Planters Bank Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex Hopkinsville, the new name was revealed Tuesday afternoon, with Marketing and Events Coordinator Chris Jung saying the move will allow them to bring more great events to the building.
He says since its opening in January, nearly 50,000 people have visited the Sportsplex and has generated approximately $177,000 in revenue. Jennie Stuart CEO Eric Lee says they were excited to partner with Planters Bank and the Sportsplex, as the venue serves the community not just recreationally, but also with public health.
Planters Bank CEO Elizabeth McCoy says the partnership will allow them to continue serving the community in a multitude of ways.
The sponsorship comes with a five year agreement with both Jennie Stuart Health and Planters Bank contributing $52,000 each to the Sportsplex. In return, they will have signage at the facility entrance and throughout the venue, online and in the new logo.
