HCC commencement Friday, Garrison Commander to be keynote speaker

Hopkinsville Community College will proudly show off its 2019 graduates this Friday for the 53rd HCC commencement ceremony at the James E. Bruce Convention Center.

According to a news release, 835 students have applied for 1,446 credentials—426 two-year degrees, 38 diplomas and 982 certificates. The ceremony will be streamed live online and a link to the webcast can be found on HCC’s Facebook and Twitter pages. Various academic award winners will be recognized along with the announcement of HCC’s Spirit Cup winner.

The keynote speaker for commencement will be Colonel Joseph P. Kuchan, Garrison Commander at Fort Campbell, who has served in a variety of command and staff positions in the 82nd Airborne Division and 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), and has deployed multiple times to both Iraq and Afghanistan.
