A man who allegedly made threats of violence in a music video was arrested Friday night for terroristic threatening and gun charges.
The warrant for 19-year old Javea Richardson of Lexington alleges that he posted a video on social media last month where he refers to shooting a man who police believe is Tarvous Haskins.
Multiple bullets struck a vehicle driven by Haskins near Central Avenue and McKee Street on April 13th, but he was not injured.
Police say the video appears to have also been created after someone shot at Tarvous’ nephew on April 21st. Multiple vehicles were struck by gunfire that night in the area of Durrett Avenue and McHenry Street.
No one was injured in that incident.
Police say a large capacity magazine from a handgun was sticking out of Richardson’s pocket in the music video and that he made additional threats to harm a woman.
Richardson was located Friday night at the East Ninth Street Marathon gas station. The arresting officer knew him to be wanted on a warrant and Richardson acknowledged he had a rifle in the car.
The firearm was found in the car and an additional handgun was found hidden under a front seat.
Richardson was served with the warrant for third-degree terroristic threatening and was charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon.
