The Cincinnati Reds announced today they have selected the contract of Nick Senzel from the Louisville Bats and have optioned pitcher Matt Bowman to the Triple A franchise. Senzel will be in the starting lineup tonight in center field as the Reds host San Francisco with pregame at 5:40 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP.
The Reds also announced second baseman Scooter Gennett has been transferred to the 60 day injured list. Gennett hasn’t played a game this season due to a severely strained right groin injury suffered late in spring training.
