Hopkinsville concluded 8th district regular season action with a 9-1 win over University Heights. The Tigers had at least one hit in every inning and totaled 12 in the game. Caleb Bapp was 3-4 in the contest with Landon Snyder adding two hits in victory for the Tigers. Zach Caudill in relief of Preston Chadouin was the pitching winner.
Losing pitcher Dan Johnson of the Blazers had two of their four hits. UHA was its own worst enemy in committing six errors. Hopkinsville is now 14-6 overall and finishes district play 4-2, which is good for second place. UHA is now 10-12 overall and concludes district play 2-4, finishing third.
