HPD arrests woman for DUI, cocaine possession

An investigation Thursday afternoon by Hopkinsville Police led to the arrest of a woman for her second DUI and for cocaine possession.

Officers were called to a disturbance at the Colonial Motel on North Main Street and were told that 32-year old Kimberly Robinson of Hopkinsville had left, headed northbound on Main.

Sgt. Tony Sierra located her vehicle and made a traffic stop near Metcalfe Lane and North Vine Street.

A report says a marijuana pipe was located on her person and a search of her vehicle revealed marijuana, crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Officer Jeremy Davidson made the arrest and writes Robinson smelled of alcohol and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. She registered a blood alcohol content of .242—over three times the legal limit.

She was arrested and charged with her second DUI and possession of cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and an open alcohol container.
