Salvation Army Taco Dinner Festival Friday

The Salvation Army is hosting their sixth annual Taco Dinner Festival Friday evening and the public is invited to attend and support local children in need in the community.

Captain Jose Marquez says the dinner starts at 5 p.m. with tickets available for purchase at the door—all money raised will allow area children have a camp experience when they might not have been able to before.

He says the kids spend a week or so at Camp Paradise Valley, days and nights, and participate in a slew of activities, from boating to swimming to rock wall climbing, along with prayer and bible studies.

He says along with the dinner, there will also be a silent auction with many great items up for bid.

Meals include tacos—hard or softshell—refried beans, fried rice, a dessert and a drink. There will be door prizes up for grabs at the dinner to be held at the War Memorial Building.  For more information about the event, call 270-885-9633.
