Two Murray State players signed free agent contracts to play in the NFL Monday. Drew Anderson and Marquez Sanford signed undrafted free agent deals with the Arizona Cardinals and Jacksonville Jaguars, respectively. Anderson’s one season at Murray State will go down as one of the most memorable in program history. The senior transfer went 258-for-459 on the season for 2,864 yards with 20 touchdowns and 16 interceptions.
Sanford was a four-year starter for the Racers with 176 total tackles total for his four years. In addition, he ended his career with five interceptions and 25 additional pass breakups. The duo gives the Racers three players total to sign with a team this draft season after Quincy Williams was taken in the third round Friday by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
