The Courier Journal reports long time Pleasure Ridge Park boys coach Dale Mabrey announced his resignation today. Mabrey wrote in a note to the newspaper he felt it was “time for a change”. The 62-year-old Mabrey was head coach for 38 seasons at P-R-P and leaves with 937 wins, the second most in Kentucky history.
The Panthers won one state championship under Mabrey, back in 1989 and was runner up in 1986 and 1995. His teams also won 13 Louisville Invitational Tournament titles.
