With one night left in the 69th WHOP Rotary Radio Auction, there’s some ground to make up to reach the $300,000 goal.
Night five brought in just under $51,800, making the overall total about $224,000—a little less than $1,400 off last year’s pace. 132 items sold for $11,500 last night and cash donations to the Hour and Goat Clubs continue run behind last year’s pace.
Auction Chair Trent Haddock said there were about 300 items left to sell this week going into last night.
The diner and sweet shop have continued to fare quite well, surpassing the 2018 pace at about $3,700 so far.
The auction resumes at 6 tonight and it will continue until all items are sold. You can listen on Lite Rock 98.7 or at lite87whop.com. You can watch on City TV or on the Rotary Club of Hopkinsville’s website.
All money raised goes to the Rotary Scholars Program and other initiatives for local youth.
