Two Hopkinsville residents were arrested early Friday morning on cocaine charges.
Officers were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle at the American Inn on North Main Street about 12:40 a.m. and found 48-year old Ricky Bradshaw and 19-year old Alexis O’Hara of Hopkinsville in the car.
A report says Bradshaw tossed a package into the floor of the vehicle as he exited and then attempted to reach back inside. Officer Michael Felts’ uniform was damaged as he took Bradshaw to the ground.
A search of that package allegedly revealed a rock of cocaine and items commonly used to smoke the substance.
Both suspects denied ownership of the items.
Bradshaw and O’Hara were arrested for possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia and Bradshaw was additionally charged with third-degree criminal mischief.
