The man who escaped from the Christian County Jail work release program earlier this week is back in custody.
Hopkinsville Police located 22-year old Calvin Jermaine Merritt, Jr. at a residence on Cypress Street about 6:30 a.m. Friday and a foot pursuit ensued. He was eventually taken into custody near the intersection of West Edmonds Street and Roosevelt Avenue, according to radio traffic.
