Woman flown to Nashville hospital after Glass Avenue crash

A woman was flown to a Nashville hospital following a wreck Thursday morning in front of Christian County High School.

Hopkinsville Police Officer Justin Rios says 53-year old Catherine Williams of Hopkinsville had been westbound on Glass Avenue just after 9 a.m. when her car exited the left side of the road and struck a culvert, coming to rest on its side.

Williams had to be extricated from the car and was taken by EMS to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center helipad, where Air Evac was waiting to fly her to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
