Third ranked Christian County defeated Apollo 12-4 Tuesday in Owensboro. Madison Winkler had three of the 13 Lady Colonel hits with Tyler Shemwell and Tenley Gilbert each hitting a home run. Hannah Sumner was the winning pitcher as Christian County improved to 17-3 on the season.
Hopkinsville scored eight times in the third inning and routed Christian Fellowship 16-6. Kaitlyn Kaetzel went 3-5 and drove in five runs for the Lady Tigers who also got four hits from Taylor Joachim and three hits from Sebrina Hodge. Marley Hancock pitched a complete game to get the win as Hopkinsville went to 9-11 on the season.
