Christian County downed Muhlenberg County 3-1 Tuesday. Bryson Brown went 2-3 at the plate for the Colonels while winning pitcher Wyatt Stevenson held the Mustangs to just three hits and five strikeouts. Layton Stallons came on in relief and got the save for Christian County now 10-5 on the season. The Colonels will face Webster County at the Louisville Invitational Tournament Friday at Fern Creek High School.
University Heights was blasted at Union County 16-4 in five innings. Luke Welch had two of the Blazers four hits and also took the pitching loss. The Blazers are now 8-9 on the season and host Fort Campbell Thursday at 5:30 pm.
Fort Campbell blanked Fulton City by the score of 10-0 in five innings to improve to 2-7 on the season.
