An investigation on East 18th Street Friday afternoon ended with two people arrested on warrants and for methamphetamine possession.
Officers were called to a possible burglary in progress at 1018 East 18th and found 37-year old Steven Dale Combs hiding in a closet and 32-year old Emerald Forgette of Hopkinsville passed out on a couch.
An arrest citation says two used syringes were located under Forgette’s leg when officers tried to wake her up. Two more syringes, one loaded with suspected methamphetamine, were found between her feet.
Both suspects were served with warrants and Forgette was charged with meth and drug paraphernalia possession.
A body scan at the jail revealed Combs had a baggie containing meth in his pocket and he was additionally charged with promoting contraband and meth possession.
