Trigg students chosen for entrepreneur program, awarded scholarship

One Trigg County High School student has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship and another has been chosen for the Governor’s School for Entrepreneurs.

Cade Bleidt is one of 72 students across Kentucky chosen to participate in the program at Northern Kentucky University from June 23rd through July 13th.

A news release says GSE brings together high school students from across Kentucky, immersing them in a creative space during a three-week residential program and arming them with the educational tools needed to unleash entrepreneurial spirits.

Meanwhile, Trigg County senior Riley Stallons has been awarded a $1,000 Woodmen Life Focus Forward Scholarship. He submitted an application highlighting his high school grades, activities and volunteerism, as well as an essay on patriotism.
