With heavy rain in the forecast, the National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for areas Trigg County and west until 7 a.m. Friday.
Forecasters say rainfall totals could be two-to-three inches, with locally higher amounts possible in the watch area. That could result in flooding of low-lying and poor drainage areas.
While Christian, Todd and Muhlenberg counties are not in the watch, heavy rain will still be likely during the same time period and minor flooding can’t be ruled out.
If you encounter standing water on the road, remember—turn around, don’t drown.
