Two injured in Central Avenue crash

Two people were injured in a wreck Monday evening at Central Avenue and College Street.

A collision report from Hopkinsville Police says 21-year old David Barbee of Hopkinsville was northbound on College and drove into the path of an eastbound car on Central driven by 20-year old Kayla Knight of Hopkinsville.

Barbee was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for a laceration to the face and for head pain. Knight’s passenger, 18-year old McKinzie Combs, went to the hospital for head and face pain after colliding with the windshield.

Combs and Barbee were not wearing their seat belts, according to the report.
