University Heights held on for a 5-3 win over Ohio County. The Blazers led 5-0 going to the bottom of the sixth when the Eagles scored twice in that inning and once in the seventh inning. Five different Blazers got a hit with Drew McGowan, Dan Johnson, Zach Naylor, Tanner Thomas and Dustin Moon collecting the hits.
Johnson got the pitching win going six innings, allowing two runs on six hits, with McGowan pitching the 7th inning to get the save. University Heights is now 8-7 and host Fort Campbell Thursday afternoon at 5:30.
