Congressman James Comer met with leaders at Jennie Stuart Medical Center Tuesday afternoon about challenges they face in providing quality healthcare to the community.
Interviewed before his meeting, Comer said he doesn’t believe proposals that include Medicare coverage for all Americans would be financially feasible.
He says healthcare does have problems, but he believes the answers will include a system where working Americans will mostly rely on coverage through an insurance company.
Comer said Jennie Stuart was the 28th hospital he’s visited in Kentucky’s First District.
