Woman arrested for warrant, meth possession

A Hopkinsville woman was arrested late Sunday night on a warrant and for methamphetamine possession following a traffic stop.

A Hopkinsville Police officer stopped 38-year old Angela Garcia for disregarding a stop sign at East 14th and Clay Street about 10:15 p.m. and a computer check showed she was wanted on a warrant for failure to pay fines.

Police say Garcia attempted to hide meth and a meth pipe by stuffing it in the backseat of the cruiser while she was transported to the Christian County Jail.

She was charged with possession of meth, tampering with evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia and disregarding a stop sign.
