Man charged with burglary after foot pursuit

A Hopkinsville man was facing burglary and other charges after an incident Saturday evening on North McPherson Street.

Hopkinsville Police received a call of a burglary in progress in the 100 block of North McPherson and found 45-year old James Ezell fleeing the scene when officers arrived, according to a report.

Ezell allegedly ignored commands to stop and led officers on a brief foot pursuit that ended with him being captured.

He was charged with second-degree burglary, fleeing or evading police and he was served with a warrant for failing to appear in court.
