Third ranked Christian County played a pair of games Saturday, defeating McCracken County in the opener 6-4 in eight innings at Lady Colonel Field. Tyler Shemwell homered on a 2-2 pitch in the bottom of the 8th inning. It was her only hit in four at bats. Emmy Blane and Hope Jones each had two hits and Hannah Sumner got the pitching win.
The Lady Colonels fell to regional rival Webster County 7-5. The Lady Colonels had six hits with Pickle Winkler going 3-4. Riley Hancock took the pitching loss as Christian County fell to 14-3 on the season.
