An arrest warrant for leaving the scene of an injury accident and other charges was served Thursday night against a local man.
It alleges that on March 18th, 29-year old Kenneth Joseph Evans of Hopkinsville ran a stop sign on Rozelle Avenue at East First Street and collided with another automobile.
Evans fled the scene on foot and was recognized by someone at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle received medical treatment for a laceration to his face.
Police say they found an open container of alcohol in Evans’ vehicle and that a computer check showed his license was suspended for a previous DUI.
Evans is charged with leaving the scene of an accident, driving on a DUI suspended license, possession of an open alcohol container and disregarding a stop sign.
