What started as a prayer vigil turned into a celebration Wednesday night at Dawson Springs High School when the city’s police chief announced that 16-year old Lauryn Sizemore had been located in southern Alabama.
WEHT TV in Evansville quotes Chief Mike Opalek as saying Sizemore and her step-grandfather, 55-year old Glenn Harper, were in custody and that he’d be driving the girl’s parents to Alabama for a reunion.
Multiple agencies are reporting they were located in Orange Beach, Alabama.
Sizemore had been missing from her home in Dawson Springs since early Saturday morning and was featured in an Amber Alert that has now been canceled.
