Man shot in Clarksville with children in car

Clarksville Police are investigating after a man with children in his car was shot Wednesday afternoon on Fort Campbell Boulevard.

Police say the shooting happened shortly after 4 p.m. between the 101st Airborne Division Parkway and Ringgold Road. Investigation determined the man had been driving south with two female children—ages seven and nine—in his car when another vehicle approached him and fired several rounds toward the victim.

He was struck multiple times and was flown by Life Flight to a Nashville hospital in critical condition. The children were not physically harmed in the incident.

Multiple shell casings were located and that area of Fort Campbell Boulevard in Clarksville was closed while the scene was processed.

Clarksville Police are looking to identify the driver of a Nissan Altima that was captured on video surveillance in the area of the shooting. It is a 2008 to 2010 model and it has tinted windows.

Anyone with information on the incident should call Clarksville Crime Stoppers at 931-645-TIPS.
