The Lipscomb Bisons are going to the NIT Championship Game. Lipscomb knocked off Wichita State 71-64 in the NIT semifinals last night at New York’s Madison Square Garden. Garrison Matthews led the charge with 34 points. Former Caldwell County standout Eli Pepper scored just two points, but had a team high 15 rebounds.
The 29-and-7 Bisons held Wichita State scoreless the last 3:46 of the game. They will square off with Texas tomorrow night for the NIT Championship. Texas defeated TCU 58-44 in other semifinal contest.
