Amber Alert continues for Dawson Springs teen

An Amber Alert continues for a missing Dawson Springs teenager.

Dawson Springs Police say 16-year old Lauryn Sizemore was last seen inside her bedroom at approximately midnight Saturday morning. It was noticed that she was missing at about 9:30 a.m. Saturday and she was last seen wearing black yoga pants and a gray hoodie with black strings.

It is believed that she is with her step-grandfather, identified as 55-year old Glenn Harper. They may be in a maroon 2004 4-door Hyundai Sonata with a temporary tag 9555994. One of the rear doors has a black plastic piece missing.

Harper told a friend he was going to Texas, according to police, who say his father and brother live in the Houston area.

Dawson Springs Police say the Amber Alert was issued early Tuesday morning after new evidence came in that helped the case reach the strict criteria set out by Kentucky State Police for issuance of an alert.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Lauryn Sizemore or Glen Harper should call Dawson Springs Police at 270-797-2277.

A prayer service for Lauryn has been scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Dawson Springs High School Gymnasium.
