Kentucky State Police has released details on a pursuit that began on the Pennyrile Parkway Monday night and ended with a crash on KY 800 in Crofton.
Troopers Brett Martin and Hunter Carroll attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by 29-year old Gary Boyd, Jr. of Nashville near the 20 mile-marker of the Pennyrile Parkway southbound a few minutes after 8 p.m.
A news release says Boyd accelerated and crossed the median near the 15 mile-marker, heading north.
He took Exit 23 onto KY 800 and wrecked at the top of the ramp, going over a guard rail.
Boyd and his passenger, a 17-year old female from Evansville, were extricated from the wreckage and flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Both were in stable condition, according to KSP.
Multiple charges are pending against Boyd and the investigation continues.
