The Hopkinsville Tigers split a pair of games played today at the Florida Beach Bash in Fort Walton Beach. The Tigers defeated Bath County 11-1 behind a complete game performance from Zach Caudill. Layne Jorgensen, Preston Chaudouin and John Duvall each had two hits in the victory which saw the Tigers score nine of their 11 runs in their last two at bats.
Meanwhile, the Tigers fell to Fern Creek 3-1 in their opening game this morning. John Duvall was 2-3 at the plate while Robert Justus went the distance on the mound in taking the pitching loss. The Tigers are now 5-3 on the season and face Warren Central Wednesday evening at 6 pm.
