THP: Clarksville woman killed in I-24 accident under unusual circumstances

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a crash on I-24 in Robertson County last weekend that happened under unusual circumstances and killed a Clarksville woman.

Witnesses told troopers that two unknown motorcyclists approached an eastbound car driven by 33-year old Stacy Gayheart of Clarksville on both sides, harassing the occupants in some way.

The motorcyclists continued heading east and Gayheart crossed into the left lane and collided with an SUV operated by 26-year old Raven Ransom of Springfield, Missouri.

Stacy Gayheart then ran off the right side of the interstate and struck a tree. She died two days later from her injuries at a Nashville hospital. Her passenger, 24-year old Miranda Gayheart of Clarksville, was injured.

Ransom was injured and taken to an area hospital. She was charged with driving on a suspended license, being a fugitive from another state, drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
