The Tampa Bay Rays announced today former Hopkinsville High pitcher Easton McGee has been assigned to the Bowling Green Hot Rods, the Rays Class A franchise in the Midwest League.McGee pitched last season for the Rays short season Hudson Valley Renegades of the New York-Penn League. He went 7-3 with a 5.23 earned run average. McGee was drafted by the Rays out of high school in 2016.
The Hot Rods open the season at the Dayton Dragons on Thursday April 4th and will host the Dragons in their home opener on Saturday April 6th at 6:35 pm at Bowling Green Ballpark.
