HS Softball: Christian County wins, Hoptown/UHA lose Thursday

Third ranked Christian County scored nine times in the 5th inning in defeating Calloway County 15-6. Pickle Winkler and Reni Shemwell each had three hits in the win with Tensley Gilbert hitting a home run. Kelsey O’ Daniel in relief of Riley Hancock got the pitching win as Christian County improved to 7-0 on the season.

Todd Central got a walk off single from Haylee Vass in the bottom of the 7th to edge Hopkinsville 6-5. Taiya Straight and Morgan Hodge had two hits for the Lady Tigers with Marley Hancock taking the pitching loss for Hopkinsville, now 2-4 on the season.

University Heights lost its fourth straight game, falling to Christian Fellowship 16-0 in three innings. The Lady Blazers are 1-4 on the season.
