A suspect was arrested Friday in connection with a shots fired incident on Glass Avenue that put several schools on a lockdown for about an hour.
Hopkinsville Police located 22-year old Geovante Poindexter at a residence on Bostick Drive and arrested him for first-degree wanton endangerment. He was additionally charged with possession of cocaine, tampering with evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Poindexter allegedly fired multiple gunshots into a vehicle on the west end of Glass Avenue. No one was injured in the shooting and the schools were placed on lockdown out of an abundance of caution.
A female in the home on Bostick, 31-year old Mesha Dillard of Hopkinsville, was also charged with possession of cocaine.
