Friday marks one year since Hopkinsville Police Officer Phillip Meacham was shot and killed on Paulette Court and there will be a memorial service to honor his sacrifice.
It will be noon at the Memorial Park behind HPD, according to Officer Mike Atkins, who says anyone is welcome to attend and pay their respects.
Organizers expect the service to last about 30 minutes.
