Congressman Comer not surprised by Mueller report summary

Western Kentucky Congressman James Comer was not surprised by what he saw in the summary of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report.

Comer believes it vindicates President Trump, who has said for two years there was no collusion between his campaign and Russia.

He says there’s no denying Russia tried to meddle in the 2016 election, but he never believed President Trump colluded.

Comer believes more information should have been shared from the White House to the public about Russian meddling in 2016.

Attorney General William Barr says the investigation showed no signs that Trump colluded with Russia to influence the 2016 election. Barr added, however, that while the Mueller report “does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.”
