A Princeton man is facing several charges, including assault of a police officer, following a traffic stop in Hopkinsville Thursday.
According to the Hopkinsville police report, 41-year old Joseph Joslin of Princeton was allegedly seen leaving a known drug location and failed to use a turn signal for 100 feet. Upon making contact, officers could reportedly see loose pills in plain sight inside the vehicle and asked Joslin multiple times to step out.
Joslin reportedly refused and was pulled out of the vehicle and began to struggle when officers attempted to put handcuffs on him. The struggle went to the ground, were Joslin allegedly attempted to kick an officer and a taser was deployed. He allegedly had a used syringe on his person that fell during the struggle.
Joslin was arrested and charged with third-degree assault of a police officer, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia and improper signal.
