Christian County won for the second time in as many nights, downing Paducah Tilghman 5-2 last night. The Colonels got two hits from Eric Silvy, who also picked up the pitching save behind starter Wyatt Stevenson who picked up his first win of the season. Christian County is 2-1 and returns to action Tuesday at McCracken County.
Hopkinsville improved to 2-0 on the season with a 13-0, 5 inning win over Webster County. The Tigers scored eight times in the first inning and got three hits in the game from Layne Jorgensen, who combined with Tim Cansler to throw a no hitter. Logan Durst, Blake Sowell and John Duvall each had two hits for Hopkinsville who welcomes Northeast today.
Other Scores: Henderson County blanked Madisonville 15-0 in 4 innings, Union County crushed Hopkins Central 16-4 and Russellville topped Caverna 7-2.
