Maryland is advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament after avoiding an early upset. The Terrapins outscored Belmont by eight in the second half to rally for a 79-77 win in East Region action in Jacksonville. The Bruins, who defeated Temple in the First Four for their first NCAA tournament win, finish the season 27-6.
