Woman hurt in Fort Campbell Boulevard rear-end crash

A Hopkinsville woman was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center Wednesday following a rear-end collision on Fort Campbell Boulevard.

According to the Hopkinsville police report, a vehicle driven by 38-year old Christina Rucker of Oak Grove was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Fort Campbell Boulevard and the Eagle Way Bypass. She reportedly was messing with the radio when traffic in the left hand turn lane began to go.

She allegedly assumed traffic was moving and started forward, rear-ending a vehicle stopped in front of her driven by 32-year old Amber Ellis of Hopkinsville.

Ellis was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries. Rucker was not injured.  Everyone involved was wearing their seat belts.
