Warrant: Man moved, left dog behind without food or water

An arrest warrant for animal cruelty was served this week against a Hopkinsville man.

It alleges that in December of last year, 30-year old Rowbaire Whitted of Hopkinsville moved and left behind a dog that was later found severely malnourished and with sores all over its body. The dog did not have food or water, according to Hopkinsville Police.

In addition to the second-degree cruelty to animals charge—a misdemeanor in Kentucky—Whitted was also served with a warrant for failing to appear in court to face unrelated charges.
