University Heights opened the season with a 10-3 road win at Fort Campbell. Dan Johnson had three hits to pace the Blazers with winning pitcher Tanner Thomas striking out nine in getting the win. Drew McGowan had a home run for the Blazers in the win.
Christian County opened the season with a 6-2 loss at Franklin Simpson. Eric Silvy was 2-4 and the losing pitcher for the Colonels, going three innings, allowing five runs on five hits and recording three strikeouts.
