Two arrested for thefts of guns in Clarksville

Investigation into a prowler complaint early Monday morning in Clarksville led to the arrests of two people on multiple charges.

Clarksville Police were notified of a potential prowler in the area of Starlight Lounge on Fort Campbell Boulevard and later made contact with 19-year old Howard Williams and 18-year old Deshaya Allen, who were both allegedly in possession of stolen goods.

Police say Williams dropped a rifle and ran into the Starlight Lounge, but was soon taken into custody. Investigation determined the gun had been reported stolen out of a storage unit.

Allen was found inside a running vehicle and had a silver handgun in the passenger seat next to her. That gun had been reported stolen in a recent residential burglary, according to police, who say marijuana was out in plain view inside the car.

Both suspects were arrested for theft of property, unlawful possession of a weapon and drug possession.
