Republican AG candidate visits Hopkinsville

One of the two Republicans seeking the nomination for Kentucky Attorney General was in Hopkinsville with Senator Whitney Westerfield Tuesday morning

Senator Wil Schroder of Campbell County says he has the experience prosecuting crime and serving in Frankfort that would serve him well as the state’s top prosecutor.

He believes he’d be ready to fulfill the AG duties on day one.

Schroder also notes the importance of the Attorney General in the war on opioids and methamphetamine.

He is facing Louisville attorney Daniel Cameron in the May primary.

Senator Westerfield is supporting Schroder after withdrawing from his own bid for the job earlier this year.
