A collision involving a tractor-trailer on Interstate 69 in Hopkins County Monday afternoon sent an Illinois man to the hospital.
It happened just after 1 p.m. in the southbound lanes and the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department says 28-year old Juliana Meservey of Massachusetts was merging onto the interstate from the Western Kentucky Parkway and struck a semi operated by 63-year old Gordon Horton of Alabama.
Horton moved into the left lane and struck a pickup driven by 43-year old Ryan Gooch of Joliet, Illinois, causing his pickup to strike a bridge.
Gooch was taken by ambulance to Baptist Health Hospital and everyone else involved avoided injury.
