A Todd County man was flown to a Nashville hospital following a single-vehicle accident Monday afternoon on Highland Lick Road.
Todd County Sheriff’s Sgt. Patrick Turner investigated and determined 22-year old Matthew Allen of Russellville had been eastbound when he topped a hill and saw a construction zone ahead. Allen slammed on his brakes and went off the left side of the road, hitting a fence post before flipping into a cow pasture.
His passenger, 22-year old Tyler Teague of Elkton, was ejected.
Teague was taken by ambulance to a landing zone and flown from there by Air Evac to Skyline Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries. Allen did not require a trip to the hospital an police say neither man was wearing a seat belt.
The Sharon Grove Volunteer Fire Department and Todd County Rescue Squad assisted at the scene.
